further enhance our commitment
to quality, The
Credit Counseling Foundation,
Inc is an agency that has obtained
it's ISO 9001:2000 registration. ISO,
or International Standard Organization,
is an association recognized worldwide
for its required implementation of
a Quality Management System (QMS).
The QMS mandates the improvement and
consistency of every phase of operation
within a company.
The
Credit Counseling Foundation received
its registration through BSI (British
Standards Institution), the world’s
leading international standards, testing,
registration and certification organization.
As
the first ISO registrar to be recognized
by the creditors, BSI established
the Credit Counseling Code of Practice,
which was created in conjunction with
major issuers. For a company to be
registered through BSI, it must be
in strict compliance with both the
Code of Practice and the requirements
of ISO. We successfully achieved this
goal in 2002. Since then, we continue
to be audited every six months by
BSI to ensure that we effectively
maintain the high standards defined
in our Quality Management System.
The
Credit Counseling Foundation also
maintains daily, weekly and monthly
reviews of every aspect of the QMS,
focusing on internal audits of each
department, corrective and preventive
actions, follow-up of actions from
previous meetings, quality objectives
and continuous improvement.
