Community Workshops and Seminars
What exactly do you do?
We give free financial seminars that cover most financial topics.
The topics range from basis like balancing a checkbook to
reading a credit report or applying for a mortgage.
Why do you give free seminars?
Our agency is a non profit credit counseling and debt education
service and this is how we give back to the community.
What age are the seminars geared towards?
The seminars are not geared towards
any specific age. We
will work with all different ages. The seminars for children
cover basic financial information like applying for credit,
not getting into debt and savings. The seminars for adults
generally cover other information like getting out of debt,
mortgages, car loans, credit reports, and other information.
What days and times are you available to do seminars?
We are very flexible and willing to
work around your schedules. As
long as we are given about a 2 day notice, it should never
be a problem.
Are the seminars marketing your company?
No,
not at all. The seminars are not intended
to market the company at all. They are strictly to educate the
group on the specific topic. If anyone has any questions or is
interested in learning about the company, then after the seminar we will be happy to sit down
one on one and answer any questions.
How long are the seminars?
The seminar itself generally lasts about an hour, however most
of the time, there are many questions and conversations about
a topic which last longer. We do not set a time limit and
are available as long as it is requested.
Are there any handouts?
Yes, we hand out information about
what we are discussing. Generally
we usually have 3 to 5 handouts, which the clients are welcome
to take home with them. In this information packet we
have included some samples of handouts.
